Putaputaweta/Marbleleaf (Carpodetus serratus)

This attractive evergreen tree has unique marbled foliage and small, white, star-shaped flowers that bloom in spring and early summer.  The dark green leaves are mottled with creamy white giving effect to marble.  It has small black fruit after flowering, providing food for birdlife.
It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well drained soils and can tolerate both wet and dry conditions once established. 
This tree grows to approx 5-10m with a spread of 3-5m.
